Description
The squarate-PEG6-BCN is a linear heterobifunctional PEG reagent with a bicyclononyne (BCN) group that can react with azide groups without the need for metal catalysis. The ethyl squaramate group reacts with amines and, compared with the standard N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS), is much less prone to hydrolysis, which yields higher protein-conjugation efficiency in aqueous medium.
